WindWalker Pugs
WindWalker Pugs is an AKC Registered Kennel Name.
Below are the Gatekeepers at WindWalker Pugs, Missy & CodieBear.  They are Alaskan Malamutes
we adopted from Malamute Rescue. We've found Malamutes to be wonderful dogs, and these two
are no exception!

Just recently they proved to be good pack members when they chased and cornered a coyote that
was after our Pugs! The coyote got inside the perimeter fence out in the woods. He didn't realize
Missy & CodieBear were not about to let him dig his way into the Pug yard. They had him cornered,
but they didn't hurt him, and after chasing him through the woods, they allowed him to go back out
the way he came in. All in a day's work for them.

Chances are this one won't be back, but if so, our Malamutes will give him another dose of the same.

Of course, the Pugs assisted in the mayhem, by barking from behind the chain link fence that
surrounds the covered patio.  They were safe with me as we watched Missy & Codie teach that
darn coyote he'd better look for his dinner somewhere else!!!
OUR RESCUED ALASKAN  MALAMUTES
MISSY
CODIEBEAR
Missy and CodieBear, are littermates, although they don't look alike. They are so bonded to each other
they don't like to be separated for even a short period of time.

Although both are very sweet and loving, they consider our Pugs to be our "puppies" and as good pack members,
they are very protective of them. We don't allow the Pugs to play with the Mals, but the Mals keep a close eye
on everything that goes on inside the Pug yard.
Missy & Codie have a separate play area, and they patrol the
perimeter of our property with watchful eyes.
Missy likes to leave us little "treasures" right at the gate. Small
creatures she's "cleared" from the area.

We don't have to worry about anything (or anyone) getting past
Missy and into the Pug yard. Even when the Pugs
are in the house,
Missy is on the job, keeping all of us safe!
Missy takes her job seriously when it comes to guarding the gates and her "pack" !!!
CodieBear is much more into having a good time!  He loves to run the
fence and race the Pugs from one side of the Pug yard to the other.

Below are more dogs we've rescued and loved. They also helped keep our Pugs safe over the years.
Frosty was a rescue we got from the muddy
pen she grew up in. We spent six hours bathing
her and combing out the fleas. My sister adopted
her.
Ceyenne was a sweet loving girl,
who was born without hip sockets.
She had femour head removal
surgery and had a happy life.
Keiko was Ron's dog. She only tolerated
me and the rest of the "pack."
Goldie was a stray that followed
our youngest home. She was a
wonderful, loving girl, who went to
live with a family that adored her.
Kody's former family was moving and couldn't
take him along. We used to take him to work
with us. He loved to go in the car and pretended
he was the "lead" dog by leaning over the seat
and putting his face on the dashboard. He was
our first Pug Nanny, and he is now with the little
Pugs at the Rainbow Bridge.
Kimmie was left to starve when her
family moved and left her behind in
the house across the street. She
found her way to us and into our
hearts.  She lived to be 22 years
young, despite her rough start.
Rocky was two years old and weighed 22 pounds when we got him.
It took two years for him to trust my husband and not hide from
him. He adored me, and in his new home he was completely happy and
adored for the time he had left. He died the same afternoon as our
Pug, Rocky was born. So, he is who Rocky the Pug was named for.
And, sadly, like his namesake, his life was short and at least the
latter part was sweet. I used to say Rocky the Pug loved Merlot
because he was really Rocky the Siberian in a Pug suit.
