WHEREAS, Buyer desires to purchase, and Seller agrees to sell to Buyer, the hereafter described Pug upon
the terms and conditions stated in this agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed between Seller and Buyer as follows:
1) Description of Pug
This Pug is purebred; the pedigree is correct and given at the time of sale; and, the Pug is registered with
the American Kennel Club (AKC), but has been spayed/neutered, so cannot be shown in Conformation.
Additionally, This Pug has previously been treated with the flea and tick product _________. Date next
application is due: ___________ .
Permanent Identification of the Pug
The permanent means of identification will be a microchip, implanted by the Seller's veterinarian. The
microchip is registered to the Seller who will notify the Buyer(s) in the event the Seller is notified by a third
party, that the Buyer(s) do not have possession of the Pug. The microchip number of this Pug is

Description of Additional Equipment
The Seller includes the following equipment with the Pug, for its use & care:
Microchip tag, information, which includes: access to the Pug’s medical records, (contact Seller’s vet for
additional information), PDCA information: Breeder's Code of Ethics (available at www.pugs.org ), daily care
information available at (www.pugs.com) and 5 days supply of current food along with feeding instructions.

2) Conditions of Sale
The following representations and conditions apply to the sale of the aforementioned Pug:
Seller's Representations:
A) A full refund (minus a $50 service fee) will be given if the Pug and all paperwork is returned by the Buyer
within the first 7 days of possession, no questions asked.
1. Thereafter, any monetary compensation for the return of the Pug may not be sought by the Buyer.
However, Seller reserves the right of first option to buy said Pug back in the event Buyer needs to re-home
the Pug, for any reason. The price paid shall be determined at the time the Pug is returned.
Price schedule to be as follows:
Age 0 - 3 years will be 75% of purchase price Age 5 - 7 years will be 25% of purchase price
Age 3 - 5 years will be 50% of purchase price After age 7 years, no monetary compensation for the
Pug will be paid by the Seller
THIS PUG CANNOT BE SOLD, GIVEN AWAY WITHOUT THE SELLER'S WRITTEN PERMISSION
OBTAINED BY BUYERS, NO EXCEPTIONS! SELLER MAY APPROVE OF A NEW HOME IN WRITING
AFTER PROSPECTIVE NEW OWNERS COMPLETE AND SIGN AN APPLICATION FOR OWNERSHIP AND
A CONTRACT, PRIOR TO THE PUG BEING TRANSFERRED.
2. If the Buyer fails to return the Pug to the Seller, or to get written permission to transfer ownership of the
Pug to a third party, the Buyer agrees to pay all recovery costs to the Seller, incurred by the Seller in the
recovery of the Pug from the third party. (Recovery costs include monetary compensation required by the
third party, court costs, private investigation fees, attorney fees, etc.) Return of the Pug (transportation
expenses), will be at the Buyer’s expense.
B) Seller fully intends to support Buyer in caring for said Pug for its life. Seller agrees to keep the Buyer
current of Seller's address and phone number at all times.
C) Although the Seller may not be the only breeder of the Pug, the Seller agrees to reimburse the veterinary
expenses of the Pug, if the Pug develops any hereditary defects, which, as documented by a doctor of
veterinary medicine, with a second opinion by a veterinarian of the Seller's choice, up to, but not exceeding,
the full purchase price of the Pug (minus the $50 service fee). Once the full purchase price (minus service
fee) has been refunded, no further compensation may be sought from the Seller, or co-breeder(s) of the
Pug.
Buyers' Obligations:
A) Buyer agrees to have the Pug examined by a veterinarian, and to personally inspect the dog at the time
of transfer. Certification by the veterinarian that the Pug is healthy must be provided to the Seller within five
business days of the date of sale. If this condition is not met, the Seller has the right to confiscate the Pug,
along with all paperwork, and return the purchase price. In full (minus a $50 service fee), making the sale of
the Pug null and void.
B) The Buyer agrees to house and maintain the Pug in proper condition, which includes proper control and
protection, exercise, training, veterinary care, pest control and nail trimming. (Care instructions can be
found at www.pugs.com ), but ANY questions regarding the health and care of the Pug should be brought to
the Seller’s attention. The Seller will make herself available for such consultation for the life of the Pug.
1. The Buyer understands the importance of keeping the Pug in a temperature-controlled environment.
Keeping in mind the special requirements of temperature; indoor confinement in bad weather; and, that
HEAT KILLS PUGS.
2. The Pug will NOT be allowed to run loose. First offense is a warning, second offense is mandatory return
of Pug with no monetary compensation to the Buyer(s). The same is true if the Pug is confiscated by animal
control more than once. (This would be considered a clear case of neglect on the Buyer’s part.)
3. Further, if the Pug is ever found to be abused, and/or neglected in any way, the Seller shall be allowed by
the Buyer to confiscate Pug with no refund in whole, or part. Any court costs involved shall be the
responsibility of the Buyer.
C) If the Buyer moves, Buyer will notify Seller of new address and phone number within 14 days of move.
D) In the event this Pug is diagnosed with Pug Dog Encephalitis (PDE), the Pug will be returned to the Seller
so that she may work with her veterinarian and provide care for the Pug that will help the on-going research
being done, for as long as it is humane to do so.
E) Any health problems diagnosed in this Pug are to be documented by the Buyer’s veterinarian and a copy
sent to the Seller within five business days. The Seller also retains the right to have her veterinarian
examine and test the Pug, at her expense, for genetic research purposes.
F) All veterinarian bills incurred by the Buyer remain the Buyer’s responsibility, unless the Seller deems it
her responsibility to reimburse the Buyer up to, but not to exceed the purchase price, per the terms of this
agreement.
3) Amount and Payment of Purchase Price:
(NOTE: THIS IS A SAMPLE ONLY. THE PRICE OF OUR PUGS IS
DETERMINED BY SEVERAL FACTORS.)
The Canine Purchase Price for the Pug shall be $ 0.00 (__________ dollars).
The purchase price shall be paid as follows:
$ 0.00 (___________ dollars), to be paid to Seller upon execution of this agreement.
4) Jurisdiction
The Buyer and Seller agree that the proper venue for any legal action taken to enforce the terms and
conditions of this agreement shall be _______ County and that this agreement shall be interpreted in
accordance with the laws of the State of _______________, USA, irregardless of the jurisdiction where it is
signed.
In the event legal action is taken to enforce the terms of this agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled
to an award of attorney's fees and court costs.
5) Further Conditions
A) The Seller also reminds the Buyer to avoid vaccinating the Pug with any brand other than _________,
and that his/her Rabies vaccination should not be given any closer to any other administered vaccine than
two weeks. The Seller also advises the Rabies vaccine not be given until the Pug is 6 months of age, and
the ____________ “booster” not be give before the Pug reaches one year of age.
NOTES:
1) Pugs related to this puppy have had allergic to their booster shots. Vaccines should be
used with caution and your vet should be made aware of a possible severe reaction. The
breeder of this Pug recommends the vaccine be mixed with sterile water, and that the Pug
be pre-medicated with 5ml. of Hydroxyzine 20 – 30 minutes prior to administration of the
vaccine. This Pug should NEVER be vaccinated with more than a "5 - way" shot.
2) Demodex, a canine mange, present in all dogs, may become evident in any young Pug.
Treatment for this should be done by the Buyers' vet. A topical treating solution should only
be applied to the affected areas. DO NOT ALLOW YOUR PUG TO BE "DIPPED" IN MITABAN!
3) This Pug's Health Record contains the dates of previous vaccinations, worming and any other
treatments.
B) If any term or provision of this agreement is held to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, the remaining
terms and provisions shall continue in full force and effect and shall in no way be effected, impaired or
invalidated.
C) It is further understood and agreed that no warranty or representation has been made with respect to
said Pug, except as set forth specifically in this contract.
D) This contract shall also act as a receipt for said Pug.
