OUR PROCESS
Step 1 -  Our
Application form (Click on the link to go to the form.)
The first step in the process of getting a Pug from us is filling out our
Application form. Be sure to provide as much detail as possible as to what you
want, so we can help you just the right Pug for you, your family, and your
lifestyle. Proper placement is KEY in a happy outcome for all.

We reserve the right to sell only to those people we feel will provide a loving
home for our Pugs. Completing the application is not a guarantee we will sell
you a Pug. However, if we don't have a Pug for you, we know of another
breeder that has available Pugs, who might. If you wish, we will forward your
completed form to those breeders we would purchase a Pug from.

We do not take deposits on Pugs from anyone, instead, we will do our best to
match you up with the right Pug for you and your situation on a "first come,
first serve" basis, but our primary goal is to place each Pug in the right home.

Our Prices  -  How Much?
Our prices are based upon the Pug in question, so I can not respond to anyone
who just sends a note asking, "How much?"

Some people want to know what Pet Quality means, what's the difference
between Pet and Show? I can tell you that to the average buyer, the
difference is not noticeable most of the time. Things that you can see about a
puppy are just the beginning of how we evaluate pups for the show ring. Show
dogs must also have a certain attitude, which some beautiful Pugs don't have.

When we retire our show dogs from the ring and our breeding programs, we
also place them after they have been spayed or neutered. These Pugs are
still young enough to enjoy their retirement with a loving family. Our retired
Pugs have many wonderful attributes, as well as being well socialized. Contact
us if you'd like more information, or wish to be considered for a beautiful
mature Pug. We place our retired Pugs, including Champions, in homes we feel
will give them all the love and attention they deserve, rather than keeping
them with us as just one of Our Gang.

Step 2 - The Contract
If we think we may have a Pug for you, the next step will be for us to send
you the draft contract for your potential Pug. All terms and conditions of
your contract will be discussed and agreed to
BEFORE you meet your new
Pug and are expected to sign it.

Step 3 - Meeting your Pug happens after you review the draft contract for
your Pug. Once we agree on all the terms, then we will make arrangements
for you to meet your Pug. The emotional aspect of meeting your new Pug
shouldn't interfere with the business of signing a legal document. If you want
the Pug being offered after meeting him or her, you can sign your contract.

WHY A CONTRACT?
Signed written contracts do not keep unethical people honest. They do
provide a level of protection from unethical parties, but most importantly,
they are a written record of the agreement between the parties.

PLEASE, FOR YOUR PROTECTION:  (1) DO NOT PURCHASE A PUG FROM
ANYONE WITHOUT READING, AGREEING & SIGNING A SALES CONTRACT;
(2) IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS, DO NOT SIGN A LEGAL
DOCUMENT SAYING YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS; and, (3) IF YOU HAVE
ANY DOUBTS, TAKE THE CONTRACT TO YOUR ATTORNEY BEFORE YOU
SIGN IT!

Step 4 - We meet and you meet your new Pug. At that time, if you want him
or her, we will sign the contract and I expect payment. I will hold your
payment for one week. During that time you will take your new Pug to the vet
for a checkup, and get to know your Pug. If for any reason you find it is not
working out, I am happy to take the Pug and paperwork back and refund your
payment. We only want happy buyers for our Pugs.

PUG INFORMATION
If you are just considering a Pug and want more information on the breed,
and/or what to look for in your search, be sure to look at the articles on

www.pugs.com.  Marcy has one of the best sites for learning all about Pugs,
including an article in her Content Articles section. One of these is titled,
"How to Find a Breeder."

DON'T FORGET PUG RESCUE!
All rescues & shelters need your help. Too many innocent lives are being put
to an end because there was no one there to love them. Please visit this link
PDCA for a list of Pug Rescues. You might decide to adopt a Pug in need of a
home, make a donation, or volunteer. We encourage you to consider helping a
Pug in need! Sadly, there are just too many pet Pugs being bred by
uninformed people to ignore this problem. No Pug should ever end up in a
shelter, and we do everything possible to ensure it never happens to one of
ours!!!

Pugs have become so popular that many people are breeding and without
knowledge and experience, or without the guidance of a committed Pug
breeder, and many are not doing proper placements of their pups. When all
these puppies develop health care issue, behavior issues, or when their
impulse buyers lose interest, these Pugs, through no fault of their own, end
up in trouble.

Those of us who LOVE this breed and have dedicated our lives to them, are
trying to save as many as possible, but we need your help!  The most
important thing you can do to help Pugs, is be a responsible buyer.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, NEVER buy a puppy from a Pet Shop!!!  No
matter what they tell you, no responsible caring breeder would EVER place a
puppy in a pet store. These puppies always come from puppy mills. No matter
that you may save one, if you purchase one, you're condemning it's parents
and others to their lives of suffering. Just say, "NO!" Don't support this
industry of shame!!!

QUESTIONS?
Please feel free to ask questions or leave comments. I don't always have time
to talk on the phone, but I try to answer my email mail on a daily basis, unless
I'm out of town.  We love to hear from other Pug Lovers & talk Pugs!!!
