Am/Can CH WindWalker's Rocky Fantasy
Rocky was a darling puppy . . .
. . . And, a beautiful young show dog, who finished fast, after making a splash at the 2004
PDCA Nationals in Olympia, WA.
The next year, he wondered why his half-siblings, from mom's
2005 litter were getting all the attention . . .
. . . After all, he was the "STAR" and he was not happy when he wasn't going to all the shows!
|
After sitting around the house and waiting to mature, he showed us . . .
. . . With Back-to-Back Group 2's, and making the ALL
Breed Top 18 Pugs list in just one month's worth of shows!
We understood his need to compete in the ring, so we' let him
have some fun, once in a while, including a few nice wins . . .

What kind of abuse do show dogs put up with? Here's a prime example of why Rocky loved to show!
Who doesn't enjoy a good tummy scratch from
time-to-time while relaxing in the Group ring?

My Dearest Sweetest Boo-Boo Baby Boy,
Did you ever know that you were my hero, And everything I would like to be? Now, I can fly higher than an eagle, For you are the wind beneath my wings.
It might have appeared to go unnoticed, But I've got it all here in my heart. I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it. I would be nothing without you.
Did you ever know that you were my hero, And everything I would like to be? I can fly higher than an eagle, For you are the wind beneath my wings.
Oh, the wind beneath my wings. You, you, you, you are the wind beneath my wings. Fly, fly, fly away. You let me fly so high. Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings. Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.
Fly, fly, fly high against the sky, So high I almost touched the sky. Thank you, thank you, Thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings.
Thank you, Rocky. Thank God for you!
Fly, Fly, Fly away now, You are still the wind beneath my wings!
The following are words of love are from a few of Rocky's friends, and mine. ~Sandra

God's heart for you is full of hope, love, and peace. . . and so are my prayers.
God, who made it possible to be together here, makes it possible to be together there.
"The life of every living thing is in His hand, just as the breath of all mankind." Job 12:10
With much love,

Rocky Arrives at the Rainbow Bridge
12/23/03 – 05/14/08
You must be kidding. It can’t be him. It’s way too soon. Hon, what are you
doing here?
I know. I know. I'm sorry about this. It was sudden and unexpected. I'm
sorry because I loved showing, and because I did, I was good at it. I'm so
very sorry to disappoint the people who loved me and cared for me. I'm
sorry my time was interrupted. It was short, but it was wonderful.
Well, we’re sorry too boy. Now, just relax and enjoy yourself.. It’s all
playtime and beautiful memories from now on. You’re among many, many
good friends who love you. Now go. Run like the wind, Rocky.
~ KIM TAYLOR

I hope we can personally thank everyone for the love and support through this difficult time,
but please know how much your email, phone calls, cards and flowers help. To those strangers
that have shared their comfort, to those friends that have offered their love, every heartfelt
gesture from your hearts helps mend one small piece of mine. We can all share the common
bond, that life spares no one from grief and pain. It takes a tragedy sometimes to remind us
and open our hearts to each other.
~Sandra
This is one of my favorite picture of Rocky taken by his
co-breeder, Diana Hedstrom, when he was just a baby.
One morning I was sitting outside on my patio, drinking a
cup of coffee, thinking about Rocky, and how much I was
going enjoy having him home after the end of the year
when he retired. I was imagining him playing under the
tree off to the right in the Pug yard with his buddies,
Tyler and Jack, then the phone rang.

the bottom of our Memorial Page.
That was the morning Rocky's life was tragically ended, and mine came crashing
down. It is never easy to lose a dog you love, but Rocky was so special, in so many
ways. He was so full of the life he loved. He was always so happy, and so loving,
never a mean thought, or a naughty deed. He was all of what we each should be to
every dog and every person he met.
