Show News
Ellie was at Long Beach, CA this last week for the
shows leading up to Eukanuba. Although she didn't
win any points, I'm happy to report she did win Best
Puppy on Thursday & Friday.
Here she is in the ring with handler, Randy Benns,
who was showing Ellie for Terri on Thursday.
Breeding News
We are very excited to announce the news there is
now a test to screen all Pugs for the gene which
makes them susceptible to Pug Dog Encephalitis.
This is a DNA test and it screens for the gene only,
not the illness, but we as breeders can now ensure
none of our Pugs will produce puppies that will
develop PDE, if we use this test to make informed
decisions when planning our litters.
ALL of the Pugs we breed will now be tested
FIRST.

at Davis, Animal Lab's web site.
Dressi, our darling little black CKC Champion girl,
will be bred to CH Periwinkle's One For The
Money, aka: "Cash," when she comes into season.
Cash is owned by Cindy Joyner, Periwinkle Pugs
and can be seen on her Boys page. We are very
excited about this breeding, because neither Dressi
or Cash carry a fawn gene, so all their pups will be
dominant blacks.
Lola, will be heading back to Canada for a breeding
this Winter. More on this later.

Rescue organizations around the US. We want do
our part to help those Pugs who's breeders do not
take them back if necessary when their owners
need to give them up.
